English Concertina Lessons Online

Hello! I'm Robby. I play the English Concertina in the Victorian classical style with the fourth finger. My main interests are writing polyphonic arrangements for solo concertina, writing duets for concertina & guitar, composing my own music, and exploring the concertina repertoire of Victorian England.

I was inspired to take up the English concertina by Giulio Regondi, a great guitarist and concertinist of the 19th-century. Despite his reputed standing as the greatest concertinst of Victorian England, Giulio is remembered almost exclusively for his guitar music. I started out of curious interest to explore his concertina music but quickly fell in love with the instrument. I practice it devotedly, with aspirations to record the music of Giulio Regondi and explore the depth of its abilities in my arrangements & compositions.

As a professional guitar teacher, I would love to use my teaching experience to share my knowledge of the English concertina to help players reach their goals. I teach repertoire, music theory, technique, arranging, composing, and whatever else interests you.
